Activities
We would like to thank you for your interest in MMS athletics. We would like to encourage participation from all students. MMS Athletics provides a 2-3 Week Intramural period where students can come out and participate in the specific sport of that season. During Intramurals students will learn various athletic and life skills connected to the sport like; sportsmanship, leadership, communication, rules of play, and specific sport related fundamentals. The coaching staff will work to provide all of these qualities in a safe and FUN environment. Following the intramural period our coaches will need to select student athletes for official rosters to compete against the other middle schools in the county. At MMS we compete in the Collier County Athletic Conference and have been very successful. Some of the sports such as Cross Country and Track do not have cuts for a roster so everyone is still encouraged to come out and participate. If you do not make the particular sports roster, you may choose to participate in the variety of afterschool enrichment programs provided at MMS.
Important
Before any athlete can participate in any sports team, you must complete all necessary steps in Aktivate and provide an updated physical.
