School-Based Health Clinic at Manatee Middle School
By reducing travel time for appointments, the clinic helps improve student attendance—an essential factor in academic success. The clinic is operated entirely by Healthcare Network, with no funding or staffing provided by the school district. CCPS provides unused space at Manatee Middle School to support this initiative, which aims to boost student wellness and achievement.
Services include:
- Illnesses that would require a visit to a healthcare provider
- Treatment for injuries that occur at school
- School physicals
- Mental health counseling
- Immunizations required by the State of Florida for school entry
- Evaluation of potential infectious/contagious conditions
Students are seen by a licensed nurse and nurse practitioner. Healthcare Network has a Parent Consent Form that must be completed before services are provided. Interested families should visit the clinic in person at Manatee Middle School or call (239) 658-3000 for more information.
